We'll take you a giant step back in time, over 100 years in fact. The major feature is a Platt wool carding machine, made in UK in 1906, and still working as well as it did the day it started.
Witness aspects of wool processing including carding and spinning.
View a large range of homespun, hand knitted/woven garments made with pure New Zealand wool.
The hand knitter is catered for with an array of wools of many types including sheep, goat, alpaca, opossum and angora.
Daily carding and spinning demonstrations after the completion of each Sheep show.
Admission is Free!
The Woollen Mill is open 8.30 to 5pm, seven days a week.
